My Story
My name is Ben and in March 2022, at age 10, I was diagnosed with brain cancer. Stage 4 Diffused Midline Glioma with the H3K27M and BRAFv600 mutations. This changed everything for me and my family but during my treatment we have been working together to make every moment and day count. I am now 14 years old and I love being outside, playing sports, weight lifting, drawing and working with my hands. I have 1 older brother, 2 younger brothers, a dog named Gary and some chickens.
For the past 4 years I have been treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio by my team of physicians- Dr Fouladi, Dr Leonard and Dr Palmer. I have undergone 2 brain surgeries, 33 radiation sessions, 22 cycles of a clinical trial and I am approaching 2 years on a targeted therapy treatment. During these past 4 years, my family and I have been incorporating holistic, integrative and alternative treatments. This website is dedicated to share this valuable information and updates about my journey.
How to donate
Every purchase or donation supports me and my family during this stressful time. My mom and I had to stay in Ohio during my treatment and living cost can get costly. During these treatments I am taking medication, supplements, juicing, drinking smoothies, eating organic high quality foods and will be using equipment not covered my insurance at home after my 6 weeks of treatment. Your generosity is helping make all of this possible.
Why sell product? My family and I believe that these stickers and t-shirts are going to help spread awareness for pediatric brain cancer. The treatment that I need for my tumor is still in its trial stage and the team working on this are making new discoveries everyday. If we can give this the attention it deserves we could help other kids like me.
